All CELTA courses include a minimum of 120 hours of contact between candidates and course tutors, and include:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">tutorial support and consultation<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">supervised lesson planning<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">6 hours\u2019 assessed teaching practice per candidate supervised by a course tutor<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">feedback on teaching practice<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">peer-observation of teaching practice (i.e. watching the other candidates\u2019 lessons)<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">6 hours\u2019 of directed observation of lessons taught by experienced ELT professionals. Up to 3 of these hours may be video-recorded lessons<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">In addition to the 120 contact hours, candidates should also allow for approximately 80 hours of independent study for pre-course preparation, reading, research, assignment writing, lesson preparation and record keeping.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;
